We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering clinical care to Eligible Personnel in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures.
As a Registered Nurse, you'll make a positive impact by:
* Ensuring compliance with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) codes, guidelines, and statements for registered nurses.
* Performing triage and assessment of Eligible Personnel presenting to the health facility.
* Coordinating/supervising sick parades, including triage, assessment, outpatient, and inpatient treatment.
* Managing patient clinical records in both electronic and paper formats by Defence Policies and Procedures.
* Ordering and maintaining clinical stores and pharmaceutical imprest supplies.
* Participating in governance activities including clinical reviews, health surveillance, and auditing.
About ADF Health Services
In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.
This includes providing defence-ready clinical and support staff across 45+ on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.
About Holsworthy
Holsworthy Health Centre is located 25 kilometres south-west of central Sydney. Located on a 20,000-hectare base, it comprises a 41-bed inpatient ward which operates 24/7. Services provided include primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical, and physiotherapy. Holsworthy base is also home to the Defence Force Correctional Establishment, where detainees are visited by RNs daily. Standard hours of operation are generally 0730-1530 Monday to Friday.

* If this location is not close to where you reside, we may have flexible working arrangements available, including FIFO, hybrid, and locum options.

To be successful in this role, you'll have:
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
* Minimum of 12 months full-time Post Graduate experience within the previous 5 years in an acute care, primary health care or military setting (or part-time equivalent).
* Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality clinical care in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures.
* Experience in triage, assessment, and management of patient care in a healthcare setting.
* Knowledge and understanding of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) codes, guidelines, and statements for registered nurses.
* Ability to effectively coordinate/supervise sick parades, medical appointments, and maintain clinical records in electronic and paper formats.
* Understanding of infection control practices and compliance with Defence and Australian Standards.
Please note:
* You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
* You don't need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian on base, and your job stays here, even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.
