Key Responsibilities
Automation & Control Management:
* Oversee the site’s automation and controls to ensure optimal plant efficiency and reliability.
* Plan and execute automation projects in line with global standards, including PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS, and servo-motion systems.
* Drive software optimization and maintain all programming records.
Technical Expertise & Support:
* Collaborate with the electrical team to troubleshoot downtime and reduce efficiency losses.
* Provide technical solutions for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, ensuring compliance with safety and performance requirements.
* Conduct obsolescence audits and upgrade outdated technology with modern, high-performing systems.
Continuous Improvement:
* Support root cause analysis and leverage reliability metrics (MTBF/MTTR) to prioritise maintenance and improvement initiatives.
* Participate in cross-functional teams to deliver automation capital projects and operational enhancements.
Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering.
* Minimum 3+ years of experience of reliability and asset care engineering in manufacturing.
* Hands-on experience with PLC and SCADA programming.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
* Excellent communication skills with a results-driven and process-oriented mindset.
Salary & Work Rights
* 100K - 125K + Super
* Full Australian working rights required.
