Join to apply for the Finance Business Partner role at Bendigo Advertiser. This role reports to the Senior Finance Business Partner and involves working closely with business leaders to provide forward looking analysis, guidance and commercial insights. The position focuses on projects with responsibilities including project pricing, project terms negotiation, live project reviews, variation management and working capital performance to improve operational performance. There is flexibility in the office location with a preference for the role to be based in Newcastle. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will involve providing commercially focused financial solutions and advice to the business.

Responsibilities
- Providing trusted financial advice to key stakeholders to align business direction and financial strategies.
- Conducting analytical reviews on project budgets.
- Providing support and financial management to projects within the business.
- Preparing and analysing monthly management reports.
- Analysing actual versus budget expense accounts on the Profit and Loss statement.
- Tender reviews on project pricing, assessing profitability and risk.
- Assisting in addressing queries from various stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Pursuing or completed CPA/CA qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- 3+ years’ experience in a finance partnering or similar role.
- Ability to operate under ambiguity and develop recent ideas and business solutions.
- Ability to influence, manage and prioritise across diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in delivering commercial outcomes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as BST, financial transaction systems and data analytics tools such as Planning Analytics (TM1), Power BI is highly desirable.
- A high level of competency in MS Office applications.
- Experience in a project environment is highly desirable.
