We're seeking an experienced Manager, People and Culture to lead the development and delivery of contemporary people practices across the organisation. As a key member of the senior leadership team, this role will partner closely with leaders to strengthen culture, elevate performance and ensure Centina continues to attract, develop and retain great people.
This is a newly created role and is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience across the full employment lifecycle - from workforce planning and leadership development to engagement, wellbeing and safety.
This role suits a hands-on People and Culture professional, or someone who is ready to take their next step into a leadership role. While we envisage the role is full-time we are open to conversations around flexible and reduced hours. Salary will be negotiated according to level of experience.

Key Responsibilities
* Champion, lead and implement the People Framework to create a positive employment experience and to ensure Centina is positioned and recognised as an Employer of Choice.
* Lead in the implementation of engagement surveys, insights analysis, and action planning.
* Lead culture‐building initiatives that strengthen trust, engagement, and alignment.
* Coach and lead in the development of a strong and sustainable culture of improvement, performance, safety and compliance Coach and mentor leaders at the local level to drive tailored implementation of people related strategies.
* Support Leaders to navigate complex people issues with confidence, fairness, and emotional intelligence.
* While maintaining professional objectivity, provide confidential advocacy for all employees within Centina Group.
* Work in close collaboration with leaders to proactively ensure workforce plans are in place. These include:
* Identifying critical skill sets and priority recruitment
* predicting and preparing for changes in the employment and skill landscape.
* Leading the succession planning and talent profiling processes
* Ensuring that development keeps pace with innovation in construction practices.
* Establishing and maintaining systems and procedures which identify, develop, and retain core and emergent talent
* Work collaboratively with other members of the SLT to develop and bring to life the EVP.
* Design and implement employee experience initiatives that enhance belonging, clarity, and motivation.
* Under the general direction of the MD and GM, facilitate the company salary review and bonus processes as required. Ensure parity, market relativity and legislative compliance, and provide advice on retention and reward systems and strategies.
* Strengthen internal communication practices that foster transparency and alignment.
* Champion wellbeing initiatives that support psychological safety and sustainable performance.
* Ensure Centina has access to guidelines and accurate policy interpretation in relation to industrial and employment law, EEO and all other people related matters.
* Support the Centina in the implementation and adoption of relevant audit performance.
* Ensure policies and practices are updated to reflect contemporary standards, legal compliance, and organisational values.
* Oversee HR systems, data integrity, and reporting, and use workforce analytics to inform decisions and track progress.
* Role model compliance with All Centina policies, practices and code of conduct requirements.
Skills & Experience
* Highly motivated professional able to collaborate, influence, build trusted relationships, and achieve results across a broad range of stakeholders.
* Commitment to integrity, fairness, and creating positive employment environments where people can do their best work.
* Exceptional drive to deliver improved results within a high paced work environment.
* Commercially astute with clear understanding of drivers of value.Includes the clear ability to integrate information, problem-solve in new and novel environments, and develop effective solutions that are actionable and deliver value beyond cost.
* Significant experience in HR/People & Culture roles, ideally in complex or fast‐growing environments. Experience with both direct (skilled and non-skilled) and indirect workplaces advantageous.
* A strong commitment with demonstrable success in creating a safety focused culture.
* Strong capability to coach for growth and development of talent.
* Able to multitask and prioritise across a broad range of stakeholders.
* Highly agile, resilient, and curious, with clear desire to learn and improve.
* Courage to uphold clear standards of performance and conduct, make recommendations and back decisions.
Qualifications
* Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Organisational Psychology, Human Resources or similar well regarded.
* Current Drivers licence
