Synopsis
The Treasury is seeking an accomplished and energetic EL2 Campaign Director within the Communications Branch. In this role, you will lead Treasury's campaigns team and guide major government advertising campaigns from start to finish. You will work closely with ministerial offices, Treasury executive, policy teams and partner agencies to deliver clear, timely and high quality communication products.
About the role
As an EL2 Campaign Director, your responsibilities will include managing budgets, contracts and procurement for campaigns, using data and evaluation tools to track results and improve how campaigns perform over time. You will use your deep knowledge of government processes to give strong, practical advice. This includes solving problems quickly and turning complex ideas into simple, useful recommendations. You will present updates and advice to senior forums, including Government committees and cross agency groups. You will guide a high performing team across different locations and build a positive, inclusive culture. This includes supporting each team member's growth and create strong working habits. You will work with creative, PR, First Nations, CALD and digital experts to deliver quality work for both mass and targeted media. You will build strong relationships across Treasury and with partner agencies. The role requires sound judgment, strategic thinking and resilience to fast moving priorities. You will act as a trusted source of communications advice and help shape whole of Government work.
Desirable Skills / Experience
* Expert knowledge of Australian Government advertising and information campaign processes.
* Demonstrated success in delivering and managing Australian Government campaigns, including skilled navigation of complex approval processes.
* Proven leadership of small, high-performing teams.
* Extensive experience in government communications.
* Experience managing campaign budgets, contracts and procurement.
* Experience using data, insights or evaluation to improve campaign outcomes.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills across senior levels and multiple agencies.
