Vendor Governance Manager Job Description
This is a critical role responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust governance framework to manage third-party vendors.
The successful candidate will oversee the governance of outsource partners and install partner landscapes across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring compliance with internal policies, contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and cost optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage the enterprise vendor governance framework, policies, and procedures.
* Lead vendor onboarding, offboarding, transition planning, and due diligence processes in collaboration with sourcing, legal, and business units.
* Monitor, evaluate, and manage vendor performance against contractual service levels (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Conduct regular vendor reviews and risk assessments, including operational, financial, and reputational risks.
* Coordinate with functional leaders to ensure proper contract management and delivery of desired business outcomes.
* Own vendor risk management, ensuring adherence to regulatory and corporate standards.
* Facilitate vendor governance committees/business reviews and prepare reporting materials for leadership.
* Identify opportunities to optimise vendor relationships, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
* Track and resolve vendor issues or escalations in a timely and structured manner.
* Build and maintain vendor data and documentation.
Required skills and qualifications include:
* Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience in vendor management, governance, or procurement.
* Ability to work with and analyse large sets of data efficiently and effectively.
* Strong understanding of third-party risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
* Experience with vendor management systems and governance tools.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable skills include:
* Understanding or experience with auto-electrical installations/GPS tracking.
* A strong desire to learn and upskill.
* Certification in risk, procurement, or compliance (e.g., CTPRP, CRVPM, CPSM, CISM) is a plus.
