Job Description
As an IT Systems Analyst at NCS Australia, you will be the architectural bridge that translates high-level business concepts into detailed, actionable technical specifications. This role focuses on design and analysis across the full spectrum of project lifecycles, from predictive models to agile delivery. You will work with Product Owners, Architects and engineering teams to refine backlogs, define functional and non‐functional requirements, and ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, standards and performance benchmarks.
You will also support successful deployment and maintenance of systems, maintain comprehensive documentation, resolve technical issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Location: This role may be based in Canberra, Brisbane or Melbourne.
Qualifications
* Analytical Architect: Proven experience designing and analysing enterprise‐scale systems with detailed technical models and specifications.
* Requirements Master: Skilled at eliciting and defining functional and non‐functional requirements, prioritising performance, security and accessibility.
* Hybrid Lifecycle Expert: Comfortable working across Predictive (Waterfall) and Agile lifecycles, including backlog refinement and sprint planning.
* Strategic Thinker: Evaluates options and conducts impact analyses to recommend the best technical path.
* Collaborative Partner: Works closely with Product Owners and Architects to align technical solutions with business strategy.
* Detail Oriented: Maintains high‐quality system documentation ensuring the "source of truth" is always accurate.
* Deployment Savvy: Supports large‐scale IT deployments and assists teams through the go‐live process.
* Problem Solver: Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive mindset for resolving technical hurdles and improving system performance.
