As a Senior Network Engineer, you'll be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise network. You'll ensure our systems are secure, scalable, and high-performing to support the core functions of a national professional services firm.
You'll also play a key leadership role, mentoring team members and collaborating across departments to deliver innovative solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
* Design and implement robust network solutions tailored to business needs
* Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
* Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime and reliability
* Implement best-in-class security protocols to protect infrastructure and data
* Provide expert-level support and guidance to internal teams and stakeholders
* Maintain clear documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards
What You Bring
* A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (Master's preferred)
* 5 to 7 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or cloud-focused network engineering role
* Industry certifications such as:
o AWS Certified Solutions Architect
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
o Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
Skills and Experience
* Deep understanding of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
* Proficiency in configuring and managing network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls)
* Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
* Knowledge of wireless networking technologies and best practice
* Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues
* Strong analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
* Knowledge of network security best practices and tools
* Experience in implementing and managing network security measures
* Proven experience in managing and leading network projects
* Strong organisational skills to handle multiple projects and priorities
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to explain technical network concepts to non-technical stakeholders
* Proficiency in creating and maintaining detailed technical network documentation
* Strong focus on providing excellent technical support and service to users
* Ability to understand and address user needs effectively
* Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements
