Role Summary
We're looking for a Senior Primary Assets Engineer who combines deep technical insight with empathy, collaboration, and curiosity. In this role, you'll guide and inspire others while helping to create a more reliable, sustainable energy future for everyone.
Key Responsibilities
* Champion best-practice asset engineering across our zone substations and primary electricity assets.
* Lead and mentor a capable, supportive team — helping others grow through your guidance and encouragement.
* Build strong partnerships with internal teams, delivery partners, and stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes together.
* Monitor and optimise asset risk, health and performance.
* Set the direction for asset strategies and innovations that improve safety, performance, and our stakeholder experience.
* Explore and introduce new technologies that make our network smarter, more stable, and more sustainable.
Candidate Profile
* Solid experience in the electrical supply or related industry.
* Strong technical leadership and mentoring capabilities.
* Experience delivering asset management or capital works programs.
* A strategic mindset with a future-focused vision for grid transformation.
* The ability to communicate with clarity, influence with care, and build authentic relationships across all levels.
* A degree in Electrical Engineering (Chartered Engineer status is a plus).
