Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Nurse Midwife located in the Greater Sydney Area. The Nurse Midwife will be responsible for providing holistic care to expectant mothers and their families throughout pregnancy, labor, childbirth, and postnatal periods. Day-to-day tasks will include offering prenatal education, assisting in family planning, performing medical assessments, delivering babies, and ensuring the health and well-being of mothers and newborns. Additionally, the role involves active collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care and support.
Qualifications
* Expertise in Midwifery and Maternity care, with the ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered support during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.
* Proficiency in Family Planning to guide patients with informed advice tailored to their needs and preferences.
* Strong competencies in Nursing and foundational Medicine to ensure high-quality clinical care and effective decision-making in routine and emergency scenarios.
* Current registration as a Nurse and/or Midwife with the relevant governing body and compliance with Australian healthcare regulations.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and provide compassionate care to diverse families.
* Experience working in age care, disability support, or hospitals is highly desirable.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and delivering evidence-based practices.
