As a Project Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our projects.
The Job
* You will be responsible for developing project scoping documentation, including scope of works and request for quote.
* Your task will include developing and maintaining project documentation, ensuring adherence to QA/QC standards.
* You will review project schedules and develop procurement registers based on site installation dates to ensure timely deliverables.
* Assessing project costs and recommending corrective action, you will provide regular reporting to the project manager on budget and schedule achievements.
* During the procurement phase of the project, you will assist by developing technical and contract bid evaluations.
* You will develop procurement registers to monitor supply goods and report progress weekly.
* You will act as the focal point for technical-based queries from clients or sub-suppliers, responding within your skill set and knowledge scope.
* Ensure on-site compliance with safety protocols.
* You will conduct site inspections to verify compliance with project specifications.
* Direct work site labor, deliveries, and equipment, establishing detailed plans for site activity coordination.
* Minor purchasing of site-required goods must be done in a timely fashion, ensuring follow-through to site acceptance.
* You will prepare inspection and test plans, along with project-specific procedures.
* Assist in the development of project documents and drawings, monitoring document control.
* Develop project MDRs and deliverables.
* Provide ad-hoc project reporting as requested, including internal and client reports.
Requirements
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in infrastructure projects (resource or commercial industry).
* Tertiary qualification in engineering (Mechanical).
* At least 5 years' experience in Non-Process Infrastructure, Camp, HV Workshops, and/or Accommodation Construction.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* A proven track record of delivering high-quality work outputs.
* FIFO experience is preferred but not essential.
