Sales Territory Manager Opportunity
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on challenge and making a positive impact. As a Sales Territory Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales, distribution, and growth in your designated territory.
The territory includes Melbourne's Western Suburbs, Wangaratta, Albury, and surrounding districts. You will work with a diverse customer base, including independent grocers, specialty retailers, and multi-site operators.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and objectives within the assigned territory.
* Identify and prospect new customers, build strong relationships, and convert leads into sales opportunities.
* Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients and prospects to understand their needs, present product offerings, and negotiate sales agreements.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful sales outcomes.
* Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business growth.
Travel Requirements
Extensive travel is required within the North West Regional Victorian territory. This includes approximately 6 overnight stays a month in Regional Victoria. Travel frequency is estimated to be around 90% of the time, depending on business needs and customer demands.
You will attend industry conferences and participate in sales meetings. A valid Full Driver's License is required for this position.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 3 years' sales experience in territory sales or field sales, preferably in FMCG.
* A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a similar role.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
* Outgoing, approachable, and passionate about sales.
* Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and PowerBi skills.
* Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
