Location: Rose & Crown Hotel, Guildford, WA
Reports to: General Manager

Position Summary
The Restaurant Manager oversees daily front-of-house operations supporting our GM & VM in running one or more of the hotel's dining venues (e.g. Posh Convict, 1841 Garden, or the upcoming Rose Lane sports bar). You will deliver exceptional guest experiences, ensure efficient service delivery, manage 20 + staff on a shift, liaise with the kitchen management and bar teams, and drive revenue through superior service, team culture, and operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Service
* Oversee daily FOH operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality service
* Lead pre-service briefings and service standards training
* Manage bookings, floor plans, and table allocations using reservation systems
Leadership & Staffing
* Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule FOH staff
* Foster a positive and accountable team culture aligned with the hotel's values
* Conduct performance appraisals and manage underperformance constructively
Customer Experience
* Resolve guest complaints effectively and diplomatically
* Monitor and respond to guest feedback from online platforms
* Build relationships with regular patrons and special event clients
Financial & Administrative
* Collaborate with the GM on targets, and cost controls
* Manage labour costs, shift efficiency, and daily reconciliation accountabilty
* Ensure compliance with RSA, hygiene, and F&B licensing regulations
Collaboration
* Work closely with GM, Head Chef, Bar Manager, and Events Manager
* Support functions, weddings, and events with staffing and floor coordination

Selection Criteria
Essential:
* 3+ years of experience in a restaurant or F&B management role
* Strong leadership and team-building skills
* Excellent customer service and communication abilities
* Knowledge of WA liquor licensing and RSA compliance
* Experience with POS and booking systems (e.g. NowBookIt, ResDiary)
Desirable:
* Experience in a Pub or larger style venue or multi-outlet hospitality environment
* Knowledge of local suppliers and F&B trends
* Hospitality qualifications (Diploma or Certificate III/IV in Hospitality)
