We are looking for a Junior Accountant to serve as an essential supporting function of the accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a related degree in finance and/or accounting and ideally, some experience in a related role(s), possess strong communication and analytical skills, and can work independently.
Key Responsibilities
* Data input, invoice analysis
* Preliminary analysis of sales, production and other accounting data
* Physical inventory observation, price testing
* Verification of claim to source documents
* Interview of Insured's or claimant representatives relative to each assignment
* Checking and proofing report schedules and reports
* Copying, research and other miscellaneous tasks
* Additional adhoc tasks as per business requirements
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Accounting or Finance degree
* Accounting-related internship/work experience, highly desirable
* Working towards CPA / CA qualification favourable
* Strong attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities
* Comfortable taking ownership of individual responsibilities
* Must be able to work under pressure and/or tight deadlines
* Open to taking feedback, direction and making use of feedback to improve overall output
* IT literate with good MS office skills. Accounting software experience, a plus
