Join to apply for the Technician - Field Service (2/1 FIFO) role at Cummins Asia Pacific.We are looking for a talented Diesel Mechanic - Workshop (2/1) to join our team specialising in Heavy Vehicle repairs and maintenance across automotive, on-highway (medium and heavy duty), HHP (mining), and power generation product applications for our Port Hedland branch. You can do FIFO from Perth or work locally in Port Hedland in our busy workshop.In this role, you will make an impact by:Delivering first-class service to our customers across mining, automotive, and power generation sectors.Completing breakdown repairs and scheduled maintenance of heavy diesel products.Diagnosing and repairing various engines.Engine rebuilding and reconditioning.Adhering to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, and reporting issues to the Field Service Supervisor.Completing required documentation such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.To be successful, you will need:Mechanical trades qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (to Australian standards).Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in service and maintenance of heavy diesel products in field service, with Cummins engines highly preferred.Strong diagnostic and IT skills.Previous experience working in the Pilbara is highly desirable.Qualifications:Mechanical trades qualified as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (to Australian standards).Experience with heavy diesel products in field service, Cummins engines preferred.Solid diagnostic and IT capabilities.Experience working in the Pilbara is highly desirable.This job is located in Port Hedland, Western Australia, and offers a full-time, entry-level position within the Engineering and Information Technology industry, under the Manufacturing sector.
