Business Development Manager
This role focuses on identifying and developing new business opportunities for service and maintenance solutions utilizing Ingersoll Rand's product range and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Determine market potential for aftermarket products, develop these offerings, and expand the market for established products.
* Implement programs and initiatives to roll out Ingersoll Rand's service and spares offerings. Key tasks include signing service contracts with new customers and converting existing customers to long-term service and maintenance plans.
* Establish customer-centric surveys to drive customer satisfaction and retention.
* Identify and evaluate aftermarket opportunities, understanding customer requirements for industrial sales and aftermarket business units.
* Identify key accounts and targets, ensuring effective account management and proactive targeting for additional service work in conjunction with local service managers.
* Maintain knowledge of day-to-day market development and accurately assess new business opportunities.
* Provide support to customer service managers, sales specialists, internal personnel, and external customers.
* Produce weekly/monthly reports to management.
Critical Competencies:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong proficiency in PC applications (SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, databases).
* Able to meet deadlines and prioritize work effectively.
* Flexible attitude with a strong 'can-do' mentality.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Prior experience in a business development role with a hunter mentality is highly desirable.
* Strong analytical and research skills.
* Highly organized with a self-starting approach.
