With a clear mission to prevent cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection, RSPCA enjoys a very strong brand and outstanding reputation for contributing to our civilised society. RSPCA South Australia makes the most of the budgeted expenditure of $15m and operates with a dedicated staff of approximately 115 FTE and around 2,500 precious volunteers. Due to the imminent retirement of current Chief Executive Officer, Paul Stevenson, who has done an outstanding job over the past 6 years, an opportunity now exists for a new leader to continue the great work of this iconic organisation.
Reporting directly to the SA Board, this pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the management structure of RSPCA SA to ensure the provision of efficient and effective services. The focus of the role is to provide leadership and strategic management to ensure the continued financial success, leadership in animal welfare and growth of the Society to achieve the planned organisational outcomes. Another critical aspect of the role involves a high level of human resource management, strategy, planning, policy development, financial and risk management, marketing, donor support, business development, advocacy, and public relations.
