We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the planning and delivery of key infrastructure projects in our Transport and Road Investment Program.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent leadership skills, with experience in managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
About the Role:
* Manage the planning and delivery of key components of the Queensland Transport and Road Investment Program (QTRIP)
* Provide specialist technical expertise and advice for associated infrastructure projects and to other professional and technical staff
* Coordinate, lead and manage the delivery and ongoing development of QTRIP projects, understanding deficiencies and gaps across the network
* Provide effective leadership to a team of internal and external resources engaged in the delivery of various programs
* Develop project management plans and provide reports on the progress of works and actual and forecast expenditure
* Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the project and determine changes to processes with a view to obtaining continuous improvements in efficiency, productivity and setting strategies
* Ensure the application of all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary to support responsible decisions and quality of outcomes is maintained
* Work collaboratively with other project owners and managers to deliver an effective and complex cross-boundary project
* Provide expert advice and guidance on contractual management, issues resolution, monitoring of key outcomes and contract performance
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
* Proven experience in engineering management, preferably in a transport or infrastructure environment
* Strong technical knowledge and skills in engineering, with experience in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
* Ability to travel frequently, with willingness to relocate to remote areas as required
