As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students who may be experiencing social, emotional, or behavioural challenges. You will work closely with students, families, school personnel, and external agencies to provide guidance and intervention that fosters student engagement, wellbeing, and success. Your role will be key in ensuring that every student has the support they need to stay connected to their education and future pathways.
This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.16FTE), 12 hours per fortnight.

About the Role
As a Youth Worker, you will be an integral part of the professional team at Ipswich East State School, supporting students who face educational, social, emotional, or behavioural challenges. Reporting to the Principal or a delegated officer, you will work closely with students, families, school staff, and external agencies to foster positive educational outcomes and student wellbeing.
Key responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with school staff, families, and external agencies to support students facing challenges.
* Monitoring attendance policies to identify and address potential issues early.
* Providing guidance and intervention to students at risk of disengagement from education.
* Developing and implementing programs to build social skills, self-esteem, and resilience.
* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to a positive and supportive school environment.
