About Our Client
Our client is Australian owned and plays a major part in the road maintenance industry, heavily involved in various asphalt and paving works across South-East Queensland.They are currently seeking experienced Bobcat Operator/Labourers.Successful candidates will meet at the yard in Crestmead (QLD) and be responsible for working as part the Profiling and Asphalt crews across various projects.
Successful candidates will mainly complete day shift work however may have to occasionally work night shift. Respective rates are listed below;
Days= $47.89/hour with penalties
Nights= $64.65/hour
Overtime= $81.40/hour
What You Will Be Doing
As a Truck & Dog Driver working 5AM-5PM Monday - Friday you will be responsible for the below;
Daily pre-start inspections (truck, dog trailer, hydraulics, lights, tyres, brakes)Safely travel to asphalt plants & job sites, following company proceduresSafe positioning under asphalt plant for loadingEnsuring correct asphalt mix, temp & load weight before departing plantSecuring tarps/covers to maintain asphalt temp & prevent spillageCo-ordinate speed with the paver operator to ensure continuous flowOperate hydraulic systems for smooth & safe tippingClean out body & dog trailer after unloading (as required)Manage safe coupling/uncoupling of the dog trailerOperate excavator when not completing truck & dog duties
What You Will Need
Current HC licence Experience operating truck & dog tipper combo - minimum 3 yearsConstruction White CardExcavator Ticket & minimum 2 years experienceMinimum 2 years experience operating heavy vehicles (ideally in road work/construction environments)Strong understanding of the NHVR & COR RegulationsWillingness to work overtime & night shiftsDedication to safety evidenced by clean driving recordAbility to provide previous driving/traffic history
