Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Professional to work on diverse projects in South Australia and Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installation of Optic Fibre Cables: Preparation, handling hygiene & termination of Ribbon & Multi-core fibre.
* Positioning and Connections: Examining drawings, specifications and work areas to determine equipment positioning and connections for installation.
* Cable Installation: Joining cables and sealing sheaths with lead and thermoplastic. Fusion Splicing of fibre cables.
* Network Installation: Installing cabling for network data, radio and computer transmission.
* Telecommunications Equipment Installation: Installing telecommunications equipment and appliances - switchboards and data transmission equipment.
* Integration of FTTP, FTTN, FTTB and FTTC Equipment: Integration of FTTP, FTTN, FTTB and FTTC equipment.
* OTDR Testing: OTDR Testing.
* Fault Location and Maintenance: Locating faults in telecommunications equipment using instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters and transmission measuring equipment.
* Aerial and Underground Wires: Erecting, testing and maintaining aerial and underground wires and cables.
* Safety and Quality Assurance: Safety & Quality Inspections & Non-Conformance Reporting.
