* Role type: Maximum term contract to October 2026. Part‑time – 16 hours per week (Monday & Friday)
* Department and location: Dental. St Vincent's Hospital, Darlinghurst
* Salary: $68,591.00 – $73,274.00 (pro‑rata) + super + salary packaging
About The Role
This is a 2 day per week role (Monday & Friday). You will:
* Provide chairside assistance to dentists during examinations and treatments, including instrument handling and suctioning.
* Prepare and support patients before and after procedures, ensuring comfort and delivering appropriate oral health care advice.
* Manage clinical setup by preparing instruments, materials, and tray setups; coordinate with sterilisation services.
* Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, entering patient data in ISOH/LIPO, and managing EFTPOS/HICAPS transactions.
* Support clinic operations by maintaining stock levels, requesting medical/dental records, and assisting with dental laboratory tasks.
About You
* Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (or equivalent), with sound knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilisation procedures.
* Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to ensure effective patient care and teamwork.
* Proven understanding of infection control protocols, WHS regulations, and the ability to maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
* Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development within the dental field.
* Organised, reliable, and detail‑oriented, with the ability to support efficient day‑to‑day clinical operations.
