ABOUT ONDEEN
Ondeen is South Australia's premier epicurean destination - a place where provenance, place, and community come together to create something genuinely extraordinary.
Set in the Adelaide Hills, we offer immersive experiences that blend quiet luxury with the stories of the land and its people: estate-grown spirits, boutique wines, a kitchen grounded in seasonal produce, and gardens that are themselves part of the story.
We are building something that matters - and we are looking for one extraordinary person to help us tell that story.
This is not simply a marketing role.
This is the voice, visual identity and emotional expression of Ondeen across every digital and communication touchpoint. You will translate Ondeen's ethos into storytelling that captures our provenance, our people, and our experiences - and inspire guests to become part of something meaningful through The Ripple Club, our community loyalty program.
The role is designed for an initial three and a half days per week, supported by a marketing automation infrastructure and an external Fractional CMO. The expectation is not to do everything - it is to do the right things with care, consistency, and genuine craft.
1. Brand Voice & Storytelling
You are the custodian of how Ondeen speaks.
• Maintain and apply Ondeen's tone of voice with consistency, elegance, and emotional resonance across all channels
• Craft narratives around our spirits, wines, culinary experiences, gardens, and community partnerships
• Write compelling copy for social media, email campaigns, website updates, event promotions, and experience descriptions
• Support the production of internal documents including menus, wine lists, and visual presentation assets
2. Social Media & Content Creation
Instagram and Facebook are the core. TikTok and LinkedIn are the horizon.
• Lead and manage Ondeen's social media presence, primarily Instagram and Facebook, with TikTok and LinkedIn developed progressively
• Capture and create high-quality, on-brand content: imagery, Reels, Stories, and written copy
• Plan and schedule content using Later, maintaining a cohesive visual grid and consistent posting cadence
• Manage daily community engagement: responding to comments, messages, and Google reviews within 24 hours
• Coordinate influencer and blogger collaborations
• Produce monthly social media performance reports tracking reach, engagement, and follower growth
3. Email Marketing & CRM
Klaviyo is our CRM engine. Your words are what guests hear from us.
• Write and schedule fortnightly email communications via Klaviyo - seasonal updates, experience promotions, event announcements
• Maintain audience segmentation and ensure communications are appropriately targeted
• Support the development of automated email flows (welcome sequences, post-visit follow-ups, booking confirmations)
4. Website Management
The website is the destination before the destination.
• Maintain and update website copy to accurately reflect Ondeen's current offerings, events, and seasonal story
• Keep event listings, experience descriptions, and menu information current
• Work with the digital team on SEO enhancements and Google Business Profile maintenance
• Support the evolution of the website toward a subscription and membership platform as the Ripple Club develops
5. The Ripple Club - Member Communications
Members are not loyalty card holders. They are custodians of this place.
• Create meaningful, on-brand content and communications for Ripple Club members
• Support the launch, growth, and ongoing engagement of the membership program
• Help design member touchpoints that feel personal: arrival notes, seasonal updates, member-first announcements
• Work across the business to add thoughtful, human touches to every member interaction
6. Brand & Visual Asset Management
Everything guests see should feel unmistakably Ondeen.
• Design and produce marketing collateral using Canva Pro in accordance with brand guidelines
• Maintain the Ondeen asset library: photography, templates, graphics, and brand files
• Ensure brand consistency across all physical and digital touchpoints
• Manage relationships with external photographers and creative collaborators
ABOUT YOU
You are a natural storyteller with genuine warmth and an exceptional eye for detail. You understand that great hospitality content is never about the product alone — it's about the feeling, the provenance, the moment.
• Deeply passionate about food, wine, spirits, and the stories behind them
• A confident and elegant writer - you can shift between a social caption, a board report, and a member letter without losing the thread
• Experienced across Instagram, Facebook, and email marketing platforms (Klaviyo or similar)
• Skilled in Canva and capable of producing polished visual assets independently
• A capable photographer and/or videographer - or willing to develop this skill quickly
• Highly organised, self-directed, and reliable, you manage your time well without needing to be managed
• Committed to this role as your primary professional focus, you thrive in environments where consistency and depth of relationship matter
• Comfortable moving across the whole business, from the kitchen to the cellar door to the DTC packing bench
Experience with Later, GA4, Google Business Profile, or website CMS platforms is a bonus. A genuine connection to South Australia, its producers and landscapes, is a must.
