What we are looking for:
Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Principal: Religious Education (APRE) to join the leadership team at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Clermont.
This full-time position, commencing in January 2027, offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the spiritual and educational life of the school community.
The successful applicant will have a deep commitment to providing quality Catholic education, participate in the life of the parish, and have appropriate teaching experience, academic qualifications and leadership qualities.
The APRE plays a vital role in supporting the Principal in enhancing the Catholic identity of the school. This includes fostering the religious life of the school, and ensuring the effective teaching of Religion in accordance with the policies and practices of Catholic Education – Diocese of Rockhampton.

We are seeking to appoint a leader who
* is a practising Catholic with a sound understanding of, and commitment to Catholic education
* has experience of successful leadership in Catholic education
* can foster a culture of inspirational teaching and learning and lead the development and implementation of school improvement initiatives
* has the interpersonal skills to build partnerships within the school, with the parish and with the local community
* is willing to provide leadership in areas delegated by the Principal in the APRE duty statement
* can lead in ways that are consistent with the message of Jesus and the Gospels
* champions the Catholic church teachings, principles and values
* adheres to Diocesan policies and directives
* supports the Catholic Education Diocese of Rockhampton Charter
* aligns with Catholic Education Mission and Vision Statements, policies, practices and strategic directions.

* Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration
