Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Career Advancement
The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is committed to supporting positive social change within and beyond its campus. The institution values diversity and inclusivity, reflected in a diverse set of social justice initiatives.
Overcoming Indigenous disadvantage in employment and education has been the cornerstone of UTS's commitment since 1993. To demonstrate this commitment, UTS has had an affirmative action employment strategy called the Wingara Indigenous Employment Strategy.
Our objective is to ensure that UTS has the Indigenous capability to achieve its high-level strategic objectives in Indigenous education and research.
We are committed to growing and developing our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce.
Our target for the next five years is to increase Indigenous employment to three percent of the total workforce by 2023.
How will we achieve this?
UTS offers a variety of employment and career development programs and pathways. These include an Expression of Interest (EOI) program, designed to provide opportunities for individuals who may not be aware of available roles at the university.
By registering your interest, you can be actively matched against any suitable positions that may arise.
Available roles include both academic and non-academic positions, such as teaching, research, IT, finance, and marketing. Opportunities range from casual to continuing positions, part-time and full-time, with flexible working arrangements available.
