Role: Aboriginal Workforce Officer (AWO)
The AWO oversees the implementation of our Aboriginal workforce strategy and has regular contact with all Aboriginal employees and their supervisors and managers, acting as a cultural consultant and mentor. The AWO actively encourages prospective work areas within Barwon Health to engage Aboriginal jobseekers and supports the local Aboriginal community with recruitment, workplace wellbeing and professional development.
Responsibilities
Oversee implementation of the Aboriginal workforce strategy.
Maintain regular contact with Aboriginal employees, supervisors and managers.
Act as cultural consultant and mentor.
Encourage engagement of Aboriginal jobseekers in all work areas.
Support the local Aboriginal community with recruitment, workplace wellbeing and professional development.
