We are looking for a dynamic, energetic individual to join our Finance Team! You will be
supporting our CFO performing payroll and accounts payables of our multi-company
organization.
The Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate and
timely financial data. This position processes accounts payable for Berkshire East Ski
Resort and Zoar Outdoor Adventure Resort/Berkshire Whitewater, payroll for Berkshire
East and cash verification for Berkshire East. This position interacts with Resort managers
which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Cash Handling: Verify cash receipts and make bank deposits
2. Daily banking transactions: Review and enter in Quickbooks
3. Accounts Payable: Process all mail and electronic invoices in Quickbooks, processing
payable checks weekly. Review and enter monthly credit card purchases. Track
recurring payments such as insurance and food and beverage expenses.
4. Payroll: Review timesheets for missing punches, record payroll data including tips
and upload data into iSolved system to process payroll.
5. Order supplies as requested.
6. Collaborates with the other department managers as needed.
7. Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to
enhance the accounting workflow.
8. Support CFO with special projects.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Education and Experience: Two years experience processing accounts payable and
payroll preferred.
2. Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
3. Experience with Quickbooks a plus with strong experience with Microsoft Excel and
Word.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
required.
5. Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines is required.
Physical Demands:
1. Reach, handle, grasp and finger keyboard/cash machine
2. Sit for an extended period of time
3. Raise or lower up to 15 lbs. of weight from time to time (i.e. supplies and materials)
4. Normal office activity including pushing and pulling items (i.e. filing cabinet drawers)
