WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As the People Operations Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the HR Operations and Workplace Experience teams through effective administration and coordination of people-centric activities. You will play an important role in representing Coal LSL to various stakeholders including prospective candidates, vendors, and internal staff. Due to the nature of the position, a high level of discretion and professionalism is a must.
You will:
1. Provide administrative support to the HR Operations team, by coordinating activities across various stages of the employee lifecycle, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and administration of staff benefits
2. Ensure the delivery of Workplace Experience and office management activities, and tasks, including but not limited to:
o Coordination of internal and external mail and deliveries
o Stock management of office and kitchen supplies, including ordering and replenishment
o Coordination of routine and ad-hoc maintenance activities, including liaison with vendors to ensure adequate cleanliness, presentation, and safety of the office and associated facilities
o Coordination of the archiving and retrieval of records, and ensuring accurate record keeping
3. Maintain consistent and accurate data within HR Operations and Workplace Experience systems and databases
4. Routinely review shared mailboxes, ensuring that all enquiries are responded to within agreed timeframes, and/or escalating or redirecting enquiries, as required
5. Provide general guidance to stakeholders in accordance with People Operations policies, procedures, guidelines, and processes
6. Support the administration and coordination of activities, initiatives, and programs across the wider People Operations business unit
This is a temporary contract position for 12 months, based in Newcastle. There is a requirement to be in the office 4 days per week, with 8AM starts.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
To be successful in the position of People Operations Coordinator, you will have extensive experience in administrative positions, with previous experience in HR and/or recruitment highly desirable. Your ability to exercise discretion and maintain professionalism is paramount.
Your background will demonstrate your:

9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
10. Ability to use initiative and to work autonomously, as well as part of a collaborative team
11. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (essential) and experience with workflow management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Tableau is highly regarded.
You will have a certificate in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or equivalent field of study, or equivalent work experience.
