Role Overview
AbbVie is seeking a part‐time Account Manager, Oncology in Adelaide. The role focuses on executing brand strategy and tactical plans in the field, delivering sales performance, and managing assigned territory and key accounts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Deliver sales performance, key brand indicators, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed set goals.
* Build trusted customer relationships by proactively addressing customer needs, expectations, and challenges.
* Develop and execute a call plan that meets call metrics and optimises coverage and frequency with key customers.
* Manage multiple brands/indications in line with strategy guidance.
* Conduct pre‐ and post‐call analysis to continuously improve sales performance and effectively handle objections to close sales.
* Research and share market intelligence—including customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, and disease dynamics—with in‐field and brand teams.
* Differentiated AbbVie value proposition with health providers, identify and maintain disease state experts and advocates.
* Report any adverse event within 24 hours as per AbbVie's policies.
* Participate in AbbVie's WHS programs, adhere to policies and promote a safe work environment.
* Adhere to AbbVie's internal codes of conduct and compliance processes.
* Perform any other ad hoc duties, including administrative tasks, as requested.
Qualifications
* Preferred: Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business or related field.
* Demonstrated specialty sales experience, ideally in Oncology, Haematology, Solid Tumours or Urology.
* Agility and adaptability in selling a diverse portfolio with strong presentation skills.
* In‐depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge recognised by stakeholders.
* Strong business acumen, proficiency with business tools, and strategic critical‐thinking abilities.
* Effective cross‐functional collaboration with MSLs, medical teams, and other stakeholders.
* Customer‐centric selling style, able to adapt quickly to various customer behaviours.
* Experience in shared territory management with high collaboration levels.
* Leadership experience, documented success in support or increased responsibility roles.
* Influential, credible role model within peer networks.
* Collaborative partnership-building with colleagues and the broader team.
