A global mining organisation is in a period of growth driven by acquisition and is delivering technology initiatives critical to safe and efficient site operations.
This role suits a hands-on, site-embedded Senior Project Manager with strong experience delivering Operational Technology and or SCADA projects in complex mine-site environments.
Role Summary
The purpose of this role is to lead and deliver OT and SCADA technology projects on a mine site.
The role involves managing multiple complex initiatives that are critical to operational safety and efficiency. Success is defined by consistent delivery within safety, schedule, and stakeholder engagement expectations.
Based in Northern Tasmania, the role works closely with operational teams, vendors, and corporate technology functions. Delivery approaches may be structured or hybrid, depending on operational context and stakeholder requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver multiple mine-site-based technology projects, primarily in OT and SCADA domains
* Act as the primary interface between onsite stakeholders, vendors, and corporate technology teams
* Manage vendors and delivery partners, ensuring scope, timelines, risks, and outcomes are clearly managed
* Communicate project objectives, risks, and dependencies clearly to senior onsite leadership
* Oversee vendor performance and contractor compliance with safety and operational standards
* Maintain appropriate project governance, reporting, and controls
* Build strong working relationships with operational and technical teams across the site
About You
You bring practical, site-based delivery experience in operational environments.
You will have:
* Proven experience delivering mine-site technology projects in OT and or SCADA environments
* Strong capability in vendor management and multi-stakeholder coordination
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with senior operational leaders
* Experience working in safety-critical, operational settings
* Familiarity with structured delivery approaches such as PRINCE2 or Agile
* Knowledge of mine-site safety standards, operational processes, and technical environments
