Job Title
Development Manager at Forge Developments is a challenging role for an experienced and motivated professional who is passionate about property development, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate multiple projects across all phases of the development lifecycle, working closely with consultants, builders, government authorities, and clients to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all phases of the development process from feasibility through to completion.
* Prepare and assess development feasibilities, including financial modeling and sensitivity analysis.
* Engage and manage project consultants, including planners, architects, engineers, and builders.
* Coordinate design development and planning approval processes.
* Oversee subdivision and construction delivery in collaboration with consultants and contractors.
* Manage project budgets, cash flows, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
* Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
* Negotiate contracts and agreements with consultants, contractors, and authorities.
* Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, local councils, and government agencies.
* Contribute to business development, site acquisition, and deal structuring opportunities.
Requirements and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
* A minimum 5 years' experience in property development, project management, or a related field.
* A strong understanding of the WA planning and development framework.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
* Financial literacy and experience with feasibility modeling (e.g., Excel or Estate Master).
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
* Tertiary qualifications in Property, Construction, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
