About the Role
As a seasoned professional, you will have the chance to lead diverse public and private sector organisations across multiple industries.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Managing audit engagements, including initial engagement planning, analysis of controls and processes, preparation and review of audit documentation and management letters, reports, and monitoring of engagement progress against budget and timeline.
* Ensuring engagement compliance with audit, accounting, ethical standards, legislation, and policies.
* Critically assessing and enhancing audit planning documentation for complex engagements.
* Timely sign-off on all reporting and demonstrating ability to write complex client documents, including technical accounting matters.
* Elevating our profile through marketing channels like seminars, webinars, newsletters, and social media.
* Ensuring compliance with independence, client acceptance, and continuance policies, and attending to risk management and quality control procedures.
* Developing and maintaining long-term client relationships and identifying business development opportunities.
* Coaching and developing team members to achieve technical competencies and efficient performance.
* Reviewing working papers, audit queries, correspondence, and reports prepared by the team to ensure compliance with the audit plan, procedures, and appropriate quality of work.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* 7+ years of auditing experience.
* CA/CPA qualification or equivalent.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and multitasking skills.
* Significant experience delivering audit and other assurance services to clients in a range of sectors, including listed companies.
* Excellent working knowledge of Australian and International GAAS, IFRS, and Financial Reporting requirements.
* Business development experience - able to identify and convert opportunities to sell work.
* Proven experience in managing a wide portfolio of concurrent projects and project teams in a project management framework.
* Managing and monitoring audit engagement economics.
* Previous experience in supporting and managing a team.
