As a Marketing Operations Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring marketing is delivered effectively, responsibly, and in line with business priorities. Sitting within the Media & Marketing Operations team, this role supports the implementation of the Optus Marketing Strategy across our Consumer, Business, and Enterprise segments.
You’ll help manage marketing budgets, coordinate procurement processes, and support the use and optimisation of key platforms. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong commercial awareness and a desire to drive operational excellence in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Your responsibilities include:
* Tracking marketing budgets and ensuring financial governance, accuracy, and compliance
* Supporting the team through procurement processes, including guiding stakeholders through requirements and, at times, drafting or coordinating contracts with new vendors
* Assisting with the onboarding and training of team members on operational processes and best practices
* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance marketing efficiency and effectiveness
* Supporting the day-to-day management of agency and vendor partnerships
* Participating in agency utilisation and performance meetings to ensure efficient resource use
* Supporting the management and optimisation of marketing operations platforms, including user access and training
What you’ll bring
* 1–2 years’ experience in a marketing operations, coordinator, or agency-side role
* Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
* Excellent organisation and project coordination skills
* Confidence working across budgets, procurement tools, and marketing platforms
* Ability to build collaborative relationships and influence outcomes
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A proactive mindset and willingness to improve how things are done
* The ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
* A tertiary qualification in Business, Commercial, or Marketing.
