Overview
As the Chef de Partie, reporting to the Sous Chef and Head Chef, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Contribute to creative and contemporary menu items, dietary requirements, understand the trends and demands of restaurants and events
- Assist in the restaurant and banquets kitchen as required
- Maintaining high standards of preparation and presentation
- Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
- Lead the team from the front
- A robust understanding of dietary requirements
- Contribute to a safe, happy and productive work environment
- Understand and maintain tight food & labour costs
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards
- A Work, Health and Safety ambassador
About You
- Have full Australian Working rights
- Understanding of Greek cuisine is an advantage but not essential
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in a fast paced restaurant and/or function environment
- A team player, focused on results and being part of a top performing team
- Must have flexible work availability due to the nature of the business
- Have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English
