This is a 12-month, five term rotational position within the Rural Acute Care program, providing experience for prevocational trainees wishing to develop a baseline practical skillset for the management of patients in the rural generalist setting.

The trainee will be part of specific departmental rosters in Goulburn Hospital.
This position would suit prevocational trainees who have not yet registered for training with a medical specialty college and who are considering a career as a Rural Generalist.
The 5 rotations during the year are Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia, General / Subacute Rehabilitation Medicine, Paediatrics & Child Health and Obstetrics & Gynaecology within the hospital, with set training time in General Practice and Aboriginal Health.
Trainees will be given responsibilities and opportunities for supervised autonomous practice commensurate with their experience.
This will be accompanied by appropriate supervision, training and support in multiple clinical settings to enable development of relevant skills during the training year.
