About the RoleWe are seeking a Commercial / Costing Analyst to support the financial and commercial operations of an international business with manufacturing operations in China and wholesale distribution in Australia.Based on the Gold Coast and reporting to the Finance Manager, this role focuses on understanding the full product cost structure across the supply chain, from manufacturing in China through to final sale in Australia.The role works closely with finance, sales, logistics and operations, providing analysis that supports pricing, margin management and commercial decision making. Role ObjectiveProvide end-to-end visibility of product costs and margins across the supply chain, supporting informed pricing decisions and ensuring appropriate margins are achieved across group entities. Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and review standard costs for manufactured productsPerform and review cost roll calculations to ensure product costs reflect the manufacturing processAnalyse cost structures across the full supply chain, from manufacturing through to final saleReview pricing strategies between group entitiesAnalyse the China export VAT credit/refund system and assess the impact on product pricing and profitabilityReview landed costs from China to Australia, including freight, duties and import costsConduct sales and margin reviews to ensure pricing remains commercially appropriateSupport product pricing decisions and provide analysis for management when pricing changes are requiredAssist with inventory analysis, including slow moving and obsolete stockMaintain accuracy of costing and pricing data within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Essential RequirementsCA or CPA qualifiedAdvanced Excel skills with strong analytical capabilityExperience in manufacturing costing environments, including maintaining product standard costs within an ERP systemExperience working with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365Ability to analyse product costs and margins across an end-to-end supply chainStrong commercial and analytical skills About the CompanyWe are an international business with manufacturing operations in China and wholesale distribution in Australia, operating across the full supply chain from production through to final customer sales.
