Manager, Capital Business Cases Location - Parramatta (including options for Hybrid and Work From Home in line with DCJ Policy) Employment type – Ongoing full-time role Salary - Clerk Grade 9/10, $129,464.00 pa to $142,665.00 pa, plus employers' contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading Your role Your role as Manager is to support the development of strategic optioning through to detailed investment documentation for major capital investment projects and programs. You will guide a creative approach to solving complex challenges through strong stakeholder engagement skills, to explore value for money interventions that best support DCJ services. What you’ll do Your role will focus on the following key responsibilities: • Manage the development of the strategic justification for investment (or case for change) • Manage the development and assessment of options for non-asset and asset interventions and effectively communicate the outcomes in a compelling way that supports executive decisions • Develop and manage strong relationships with other DCJ divisions to meet their service needs and the interface with strategic asset management considerations. • Conduct Manage assessment of all options • Manage the development of detailed investment documentation including Business Cases, managing multiple technical inputs. • Utilise strong project management skills in a strategic infrastructure • Support your team members to develop in collaboration, effective communication, complex problem solving and program management. The Capital Business Cases (CBC) team is a vibrant, and enthusiastic team dispersed across NSW. The key objectives of the Capital Business Cases team are to: • Support DCJ Executive and Ministerial decisions on major capital investment by assessing the strategic merit of proposed interventions. • Inform decisions by NSW Treasury and the Expenditure Review Committee on major capital investment into DCJ major infrastructure projects by developing robust, evidence-based business cases. • Guide the NSW Government on prioritising and optimising DCJ to support service delivery, by articulating a clear case for change and investment roadmaps. • Provide advice, analysis, insights, and evidence that support organisational objectives and needs. What we’re looking for You are a dynamic, agile team player who promotes critical thinking, collaborative problem solving and strong communication skills to support NSW Government investment decisions. You will ideally hold knowledge and experience in complex strategic infrastructure planning, and business case development for complex service needs. Download the role description.
