Job Title: Home Support Assistant
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our support network, you will be responsible for providing exceptional in-home assistance services to clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
* Personal Care: Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Community Access: Facilitate access to community resources and events, promoting social inclusion and connection
* Respite Care: Offer temporary relief to caregivers, allowing them time to rest and recharge
* Domestic Assistance: Provide assistance with household chores and tasks, maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment
* Medication Assistance: Assist with medication management, ensuring clients take their medications as prescribed
* Meal Preparation: Prepare healthy meals for clients, promoting nutrition and well-being
* Transport: Provide transportation to appointments and outings, ensuring timely attendance
* Shopping Assistance: Accompany clients on shopping trips, assisting with purchases and navigation
Requirements
* NDIS Workers Check
* Current First Aid/CPR certification
* Valid driver's licence and own insured vehicle
Preferred Qualifications
* Certificate III in Individual Support, Disabilities, Aged Care or Community Services
* Previous experience in the Disability or Aged Care sector
* Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)
* Ability to work as part of a team
