Glass Co Metro is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Store Person to join our busy factory team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, supporting glass cutting, processing and in-house assembly operations.
About the role
Based in our factory, you will play a key role in ensuring materials flow smoothly through the business by managing incoming and outgoing goods and supporting day-to-day factory operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Receiving, checking and unloading deliveries using a forklift and manual handling.
* Verifying goods against delivery dockets, con-notes and purchase orders.
* Processing goods receipts using SimPRO and assisting with invoice queries.
* Coordinating pickups and deliveries of materials and products.
* Preparing assembled glass products and frames for dispatch.
* Assisting with the delivery of glass, window frames and materials to site as required.
* Participating in monthly stocktakes and maintaining accurate inventory.
* Supporting factory operations, including assisting the team with glass processing and assembly as trained.
* Operating tools and equipment safely and completing daily cleaning and shutdown procedures.
* Maintaining a clean, organised and safe factory environment.
What we're looking for
Essential:
* High Risk Forklift Licence
* 2–3 years' experience in a similar storeperson or factory-based role
* Ability to manually handle glass and aluminium extrusion
* Strong commitment to workplace safety
* Computer literacy (experience with SimPRO highly regarded)
* Reliable transport to and from work
Highly desirable:
* Current C Class Driver's Licence
* Experience working in glass, aluminium or building products environments
