About the Role
BMA's Hay Point Terminal offers an experienced Production Supervisor the opportunity to lead a production team. The role reports to the Superintendent Production and focuses on safe, efficient production in line with daily schedules.
Responsibilities
* The ability and courage to lead change and develop high‐performing crews.
* Demonstrate and instil a commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
* Supervise the execution of the weekly production schedule.
* Identify and implement improvement initiatives with support from Production Analysis and Improvement.
* Liaise with pilots, shipping agents and other personnel involved in ship handling and directly supervise the onshore activities of vessel arrival and departure.
* Manage a small team of BMA and contract employees.
* Supervise minor civil works.
About You
* Experience in the coal industry, especially port production, is desirable but not essential.
* Strong understanding of the risks of a supervisory position and SHMS, with experience in risk management investigations.
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
* Ability to develop relationships with multiple functions and senior leadership.
* Ability to obtain and retain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
