This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to play a critical role in ensuring effective cost management and financial reporting across a large, multi-disciplinary project spanning multiple geographies. This role is responsible for supporting the end-to-end cost control function. You will collaborate with project teams across Australia and internationally to maintain robust cost control processes, assist in forecasting and reporting, and ensure compliance with financial governance requirements. This is a site based role 5/2 roster (with 1 day WFH). There is also potential for an opportunity to work in Europe (12-18 months secondment) which will provide an unique chance to work at the heart of a global team, contributing to the successful delivery of a high-profile project across borders. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with cross-functional project teams and finance personnel to manage cost control matters. Maintain and ensure compliance with cost control procedures and systems. Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly project cost reports, valuations, forecasts, and cost-to-complete assessments. Monitor and audit the accuracy of cost data and financial forecasts, reporting anomalies to senior commercial leadership. Support the preparation of financial and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders. Assist with cash flow forecasting, claims preparation, and payment tracking. Collaborate with scheduling teams to align cost reporting with project progress. Develop and maintain tools for cost forecasting, variance analysis, and performance measurement. Ensure that all project cost records and reports are accurate, up-to-date, and properly archived. Participate in monthly cost review meetings and support audit processes across both onshore and offshore operations. Skills, Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years' experience in project cost control, with a solid understanding of accounting and finance principles in a project environment. Proven experience in costing, estimating, and/or planning for multi-disciplinary projects. Proficient in Excel (including Visual Basic) and preferably experienced with Power BI. Experience with project control tools such as Contruent (PRISM) and ERP systems (eg SAP). Demonstrated commercial acumen and experience with large-scale infrastructure or energy-related projects. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to operate effectively across multiple time zones with international teams Like to know more?
