Position Summary
Purpose
The primary responsibility of this position is to handle all engineering aspects of a project as needed, to include customer interface, modeling, detail drawings, analysis, documentation, assembly support, and testing.
Duties And Responsibilities
Functions
ESSENTIAL
Perform engineering duties as necessary. These may include:
* Creating conceptual designs.
* Performing engineering calculations and analysis.
* Conducting or participating in design reviews.
* Creating complete design packages with drawings, BOM’s, and documentation.
* Designing enabling equipment, such as test fixtures, handling aids, etc.
* Participating in operational risk assessments.
* Designing modifications to existing equipment.
* Preparing scopes of supply and general arrangements.
* Providing cost estimates for proposals.
* Preparing project-specific procedures or manuals.
* Performing product testing onshore or offshore.
* Writing test procedures and building specialized testing equipment.
* Writing and reviewing technical proposals and specifications
* .Supporting and communicating with customers, project managers, project engineers, and technicians.
* Providing engineering status and progress reports.
ADDITIONAL
* Provide technical support on service line developed products.
* Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
* This position has NO supervisory responsibilities.
Reporting Relationship
* Reports to an Engineering Lead or Manager.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
* Bachelors in mechanical engineering, Civil Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
* Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks or similar 3D CAD packages.
* Knowledge of Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
* Uncompromising attitude toward safety.
* Minimum 3-7 years’ relevant engineering experience.
DESIRED
* Experience performing FEA, structural calculations, and hydraulic analysis.
* Knowledge of subsea ROV tooling is strongly desired.
* Knowledge of operations in the subsea industry is strongly desired.
* Experience with electro-hydraulic control systems.
* Ability to work within tight deadlines.
* Ability to work under general direction.
* Ability to work in a high-pressure onshore/offshore environment.
* Studies or project work with ROV and/or Subsea equipment design and engineering.
* Hands on mechanical experience such as building or repairing large or small engines or machines.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals.
Interest in process improvement, standardization, and streamlining of workflows a plus.

Working Conditions
This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.
* Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
* Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace.
* Work surface is stable (flat).
