About the Company
Woods Constructional Engineers has been supplying and installing structural steelwork and metalwork to our regular cliental for more than 65 years. The company is a well-established, and during this time has become a leading supplier to a wide range of customers. We are looking for an experienced-on site structural steel installer boiler maker.
Role
* Fabrication of structural steel components
* Operating overhead gantry crane for the purpose of fabrication
* Working with power and hand tools.
* Implement WHS procedures to complete the job safely.
* Sort and maintain a clean workspace.
Responsibilities
* Complete all duties as directed by the Workshop Supervisor
* Ensure the quality and accuracy of fabrication
* Coordinate the maintenance of tools and equipment to conduct the works.
* Maintain clear access for deliveries and pickups
* Promote continual efficiencies in the work area promoting teamwork process.
* Perform general duties as required by the Workshop Supervisor
Skills and Experience
* Trade Qualifications as a Boiler maker or equivalent
* Experience Fabrication with MIG,
* Experience with Oxyacetylene and plasma cutting equipment.
* Read and interpret technical drawings
* Strong safety focus and enhancing the site safety environment
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
* Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks
* Overhead crane experience
Additional skills but not essential
* TIG and Stick Welding
* On site welding of structural steel and metal work
* Capability of welding stainless-steel
