Overview
Kennedys is seeking an Associate to join our expanding casualty practice in Melbourne, working directly with specialist Partner, Michael Kavanagh. In this role, you will manage a varied caseload of casualty, product & public liability matters, property damage and Victorian WorkCover recovery claims.
Responsibilities
* Manage diverse high‐quality work for London market syndicates and leading domestic and international insurers across casualty, worker, Victorian WorkCover, product, public liability, property damage and policy response work.
* Develop and maintain excellent client relationships.
* Participate in marketing, business development and client training activities.
Qualifications
* 2‐4 years PQE in defendant litigation with a focus on casualty claims.
* Experience in property damage and Victorian WorkCover claims (desirable but not essential).
* Proven ability to manage the own caseload with minimal supervision.
* Strong technical knowledge of Australian personal injury law.
* Excellent communication skills and client‐facing confidence.
* A collaborative approach and genuine interest in business development.
* Strong academic credentials.
