Fire Alarm Technician Job Description
The position of Fire Alarm Technician is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of fire alarm systems.
Job Summary:
This role involves testing, servicing, repairing, and upgrading fire alarm systems at various buildings. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently inspecting and testing other fire equipment to guarantee their proper functioning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspection and testing of fire alarms, pumps, and detectors
* Maintaining good working knowledge of codes and regulations pertaining to fire equipment
* Attending training sessions and meetings as required
* Ensuring accurate recording and invoicing through established systems
* Responding to after-hours calls according to the designated roster
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician
* An Electrical license (preferably)
* Proven experience with fire alarm system testing, fault finding, programming, repairs, upgrades, and emergency lighting testing and repairs
* Competence, reliability, and self-starting skills
* Availability to work in the Hunter Valley and Central Coast areas
