**How will I help?**
The Executive Manager, Assurance role sits within the Business, Wealth and Group Assurance team. In this role, you will be part of a team of Assurance risk professionals who will execute independent reviews that evaluations that will assist Management in exercising its responsibility to develop, maintain, monitor and continuously enhance control frameworks and systems.
You'll work closely with the Executive Manager - Business Wealth & Group Functions to lead a high-performing team, offering forward-looking insights on key risks to the Divisional CROs, Executive Management, and the Board. Collaboration with Divisional CROs will be essential as you help shape the strategic approach to thematic and deep-dive reviews across our Business, Wealth, and Group Function divisions.
As part of your role, you'll deliver assurance opinions on risk management practices, focusing on the effectiveness of controls and alignment with the 2nd Line Assurance Standard. You'll also prepare reports on 2nd Line Assurance results, sharing key insights with the Divisional Risk Committees.
You'll be responsible for coordinating and reporting on the development and delivery of approved 2nd Line Assurance plans across multiple divisions, ensuring the successful execution of thematic and deep dive reviews. This involves assessing key controls for design and operating effectiveness to ensure risks and obligations are well managed. Collaboration will be key, and you'll work alongside peers to foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships is also a critical part of this role, where you'll influence enterprise leaders to enhance risk monitoring and implement robust control practices.

**What do I need?**
To be successful, you'll need over 10 years of experience in Risk and Control Advisory, Governance, Internal Audit, or similar Assurance roles. You'll also bring experience in business lending, commercial banking, or private wealth, with a solid grasp of the key business drivers and associated risks. Additionally, you'll demonstrate strong leadership skills, the ability to influence, and a passion for customer-focused, data-driven insights will set you apart.
If you have experience in financial services, particularly in operational risk management, assurance, and the regulatory landscape, combined with exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Strong report writing and presenting to senior stakeholders are a must, as is proven leadership capability. Experience with technology risk, assurance, transformation, or data analytics will be highly regarded.
