Our client is a dynamic Global freight forwarder on a growth journey in Brisbane. They are looking for an energetic, detail-savvy Operations & Customer Service Officer to join their sea and air freight team based in the SE suburbs.
What You'll Do:
* Coordinate end-to-end international shipments (FCL, LCL, and airfreight)
* Liaise with carriers, agents, our customs team, and transport partners
* Prepare and verify shipping documentation (HBL, MBL, invoices, packing lists, etc.)
* Keep clients informed with proactive milestone updates and prompt responses
* Plan cost-effective transport strategies and negotiate competitive rates
* Minimize detention and demurrage charges
* Collaborate with internal teams including Key Account Managers, Customs, and Sales
* Manage workflows using and Cargowise.
* Prepare final invoices and identify leads for the Sales team
* Ensure all shipment information is completed and closed out with Finance
