As the Site Supervisor, you will provide a safe working environment for all persons on site by abiding by and implementing Vestas safety standards. You will ensure all service schedules are adhered to while continuing delivery of energy to the grid as per agreed KPI's with the client.
The department is a small team environment based on site at Musselroe Wind Farm. The technicians report to the site supervisor and are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the wind turbines in accordance with the contract. Support is provided by an administrator, stock keeper and planner, with KPI's allocated by the Area Service Manager.

Musselroe Wind Farm is located on the NE tip of Tasmania, one of the best Wind Farm locations in Australia.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain site safety to required Vestas standards and drive a safe working culture among the team
2. Achieve wind farm performance standards while maintaining turbine scheduled service timeframes
3. Provide clear direction to service personnel
4. Maintain a good working relationship with the customer and key stakeholders
5. Provide mentoring and transfer of knowledge to the team
6. Maintain Safety KPIs within nominated targets
7. Ensure Service and Maintenance activities undertaken by Technicians are completed in accordance with Vestas HSE policies and procedures
8. Conduct toolbox and daily work pre-start team briefings. Ensure meeting notes are documented and attendance sheets filled out for review
9. Prepare and maintain work rosters including on-call rosters and schedules in consultation with Site Planner
10. Monitor staff performance in consultation with Site Manager using Continuous Performance Development (CPD) process
11. Identify personnel development needs and arrange staff development in consultation with Site Manager using CPD process
12. Develop and build a positive and productive working relationship within on-site team and other relevant internal and external stakeholders
13. Communicate and update site activities with customers' representative routinely
14. Monitor customer satisfaction, understand customer needs and suggest strategies to line managers
15. Collaborate with the Site Planner to ensure all planned work is performed within the planned schedule
16. Supervise and perform Wind Turbine Generator, eBoP and civil BoP maintenance activities that are specified within the scope of the O&M contract
17. Maintain and improve turbine reliability by monitoring Turbine performance indicators
18. Supervise maintenance, logistics and business records and ensure SAP and other reporting systems are accurate and up-to-date
Qualifications
1. Electrical or mechanical trade certificate (Preferred)
2. Cert IV in Project Management or a HSE discipline (Not essential)
3. Managing Safely certificate/diploma highly regarded
4. Intermediate user of MS Office, ERP (SAP) and exposure to Service specific software programs
5. Customer service and understanding customer needs
6. Ability to display practical hands on approach to the service operation
7. Good verbal communication within professional service provider environment
8. Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
9. Policy making to create action
10. Support teams in a major site-based service environment
11. Develop work rosters and time allocation in major asset service environment
12. Support sub-contractors in remote site locations e.g. crane, excavation, electrical, civil
13. Management and reporting of budgetary requirements
