Newcastle West, NSW, AU, 2302**About the M1 South - Blackhill to Tomago project**:
A joint venture between John Holland and Gamuda Australia has been selected by Transport for NSW to deliver the M1 Pacific Motorway extension to Raymond Terrace Southern Package - a key missing link in one of the country's busiest transport corridors.
The $1.029 billion southern package will deliver a 10-kilometre dual carriageway motorway extension between Black Hill and Tomago. There will be 8 bridges that include a 2.6km viaduct and current congestion-busting interchanges at Black Hill, Tarro and Tomago.
**Requirements of the role**:
The successful applicant will report to the JHGA JV Survey Manager and be expected to perform the role professionally, be self-motivated and work both independently and as a part of the JHGA JV Survey team.
**Responsibilities of the role include**:
- Construction set out
- Bridges/Structures/Civil Works
- Road Construction
- Earthworks surveys
- Volume Calculations
- Monitoring surveys
- Control surveys, both GPS and traditional
- Work as executed surveys
- 3D scanning/BIM modelling
**Key objectives are, but not limited to**:
- Efficient 12d Model / 12d Field user with the ability to convey information in a variety of formats
- Accurately set out survey information, as-constructed and conformance surveys
- Implement John Holland Survey Procedures consistently during the course of the survey works for the project duration
- Have a strong attitude and awareness of safety regulations and requirements
- Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with site foreman and engineers on all matters relating to the construction activities
**To be successful in this key role, you must have**:
- Previous experience in a construction / engineering environment
- Tertiary qualification in surveying will all be held in high regard
- Working knowledge of 12D Model and 12D Field software and planning ability.
