The Opportunity

We are now looking for an Operations Support to join our Emerald Depot on a full-time basis.

Join the collaborative and close-knit team at Emerald Coaches as an Operations Support staff member. We are currently seeking an output-focused individual to work from our Emerald depot. With over 100 dedicated staff, safety is our utmost priority, and we strive to ensure everyone enjoys the ride.

About the role

This dynamic, full-time, and multi-faceted position is ideal for an appropriately skilled, self-motivated, and energetic individual capable of working both autonomously and within a small team. While your primary base will be the Emerald depot, occasional duties at our various depots, satellite sites, or other locations may be required

As the Operations Support, your key responsibilities will include:

* Assisting with the creation of rosters and ensuring all scheduling information is accurately captured in relevant systems.
* Liaising with the Workshop team to plan fleet availability and maintenance schedules.
* Managing and administering all 'Dry Hire' arrangements.
* Ensuring all run amendments are promptly updated and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
* Participating in an after-hours on-call phone roster to address operational needs.
* Maintaining effective communication channels with all internal and external stakeholders.
* Providing leadership and guidance on safety protocols, services, and routes.
* Assisting management with driver responsibilities and welfare.
* Coordinating logistical arrangements for daily operational services.
* School Runs - administration behaviour management.
* Performing other duties as required to support smooth depot operations.

Skills and experience

* Preferred but not essential: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
* Bus industry or bus driving experience is desirable.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Details-orientated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* A strong desire to deliver outstanding customer service.
* Preferred MR driver's licence.
